A UK winter is hard on an inflatable hot tub. The heater has to work against cold air and wind, air walls lose heat quickly, and frost can damage the pump and pipes if water stops moving. Many makers also set a lowest air temperature below which the heater should not be relied on, so check that figure in the manual. The tubs that cope best have three things: an automatic freeze protection mode, insulated walls or a foam core, and a thick insulated cover that seals well. App control helps too, because you can keep an eye on temperature without opening the lid. This guide compares tubs whose listings mention frost or freeze protection, lined up on insulation, cover, app control and any stated minimum air temperature.
