**In short:** Most Intex PureSpa faults come back to water flow, temperature or power. Codes often listed in Intex manuals include E90 for no water flow, E94 and E95 for water too cold or too hot, E97 for dry fire protection and E99 for a damaged temperature sensor. Check filters, water level, hose connections and the RCD first, then follow your manual and contact Intex support if it persists.

Intex PureSpa tubs show error codes on the control panel when something is outside normal limits. Most of the time the cause is simple: a clogged filter, low water, a cold day or a tripped RCD. This guide explains what the codes most often listed in PureSpa manuals mean, how to work through no heat, no bubbles and cover problems, and when to stop and contact Intex. Codes and procedures differ between models and years, so always check your own manual.

## Common PureSpa error codes

The table lists codes widely given in Intex PureSpa manuals. Your model may use others or describe them differently, so treat this as a guide and confirm in your manual.

| Code | Usual meaning | First checks |
| --- | --- | --- |
| E90 | No water flow | Clean or replace filters, check water level and hose connections |
| E94 | Water temperature too low | Cover the tub, let it heat, check frost conditions |
| E95 | Water temperature too high | Switch off heater, let water cool, check the setting |
| E96 | System error | Power off, wait, restart; contact Intex if it returns |
| E97 | Dry fire protection | Water not reaching the heater; check level and flow |
| E99 | Temperature sensor fault | Contact Intex support |

## Tub not heating

For heater faults across brands, see [inflatable hot tub heater not working](https://bubbleandsoak.co.uk/blog/inflatable-hot-tub-heater-not-working). Our [heat-up calculator](https://bubbleandsoak.co.uk/tools/heat-up-calculator) shows how long heating should take at minimum.

1. Check the set temperature is above the current water temperature.
2. Make sure the heater function is switched on, as well as the filter.
3. Clean or replace the filter cartridges; poor flow stops the heater.
4. Check the water is above the minimum line.
5. Check the RCD on the plug has not tripped; press reset or test as the manual shows.
6. Keep the cover on; in cold weather heat-up is slow.

## Bubbles or jets not working

If the bubbles will not start, check the control panel's bubble button and whether the heater is running; on some models the heater pauses while bubbles run, or vice versa, to stay within the 13 A supply. Check that the air hose and connections are secure. Some Intex models also have a timer that switches the bubbles off automatically after a set time.

If the bubbles are weak, the air holes in the floor or the air intake may be blocked by debris or scale. In hard water areas, see [hard water and limescale](https://bubbleandsoak.co.uk/blog/hot-tub-hard-water-limescale).

## Cover and leak problems

Common cover issues are buckles that will not close and foam lids that are heavy or out of shape. Check the lid is seated evenly and replace broken buckles with Intex parts. Foam lids that have absorbed water lose insulation and should be replaced.

If the tub is losing water, check hose connections at the pump unit first, then the drain valve and the seams. Our guide to [finding leaks](https://bubbleandsoak.co.uk/blog/inflatable-hot-tub-losing-water) works through it step by step.

## Safety first

Never open the pump unit casing or try to repair electrical parts yourself. If the RCD keeps tripping, see [hot tub tripping the RCD](https://bubbleandsoak.co.uk/blog/hot-tub-tripping-electrics) and stop using the tub until the cause is found.

Check also that your tub is the UK 230 V version. Some listings show US specifications, which will not suit a UK supply.

Note: Hot tubs combine water and mains electricity. Use a weatherproof outdoor socket protected by an RCD, follow the maker's manual, and have any new circuit or socket fitted by a qualified electrician.

## When to contact Intex

If a code keeps returning after the basic checks, or the heater or pump makes unusual noises, contact Intex support with your model number, the code and what you have tried. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
