How we pick

Bubble and Soak compares inflatable hot tubs for UK gardens. Each guide covers one kind of product and puts several options side by side. This page explains how a shortlist is made.

What we look at when comparing inflatable hot tubs for UK gardens

  • Seating capacity and water volume, which set how big the tub is and how long it takes to heat.
  • Heater power and insulation, since those shape the running cost through a British winter.
  • Pump, jets and cover, plus the floor space and electrical supply the tub needs.

What the picks are based on

We read the listings, not the products. Picks and descriptions come from what each Amazon listing and the manufacturer state. The texts on this site are drafted with the help of AI from manufacturer data and Amazon listings, they are checked and edited before publishing, and we do not test the products physically.

What the labels mean

Labels such as “Best overall” or “Best value” are our reading of the listings. They are not test results and not customer ratings, and the order of picks is an editorial judgement of how well each product fits the job.

What this method cannot tell you

  • How quickly a tub really heats in your garden, with your weather, your cover and your socket.
  • How well the seams, valves and liner hold up after a few seasons of filling, draining and storing.
  • How strong the bubbles or jets feel, and how loud the pump is late in the evening.
  • How many people sit comfortably, as opposed to the number the maker prints on the box.

For those questions, read recent customer reviews on the listing itself. The “Good to know” list under each product names what the listing leaves open.

When a product disappears

If a product is no longer available, we replace it with a comparable one at the next update. Page addresses do not change.
