The Gecheer gazebo is a fixed garden structure rather than a pop-up. It has a heavy iron frame and a fabric roof that slides back. It suits hot tub owners who keep their tub in one place for the season and want a shelter that looks like garden furniture rather than a festival tent. The retractable roof is its main feature, letting you sit under open sky on clear nights and close it when it rains.

Our take
Size and shape
Gecheer lists the gazebo at 4 by 3 by 2.3 m. The rectangular shape suits a hot tub well: place the tub towards one end and use the extra metre at the other for steps, a bench or a towel stand. The 2.3 m height gives standing room under most of the roof.
The frame is iron in anthracite, and the item weight is 53.5 kg, by far the heaviest in our gazebo guide. That weight is a sign it is meant to stay put once built.
The retractable roof
The roof is polyester with a PA coating, and the listing says it protects against UV and rain. Because it retracts, you can open it on warm evenings so steam can escape, then pull it closed to keep showers off the tub cover. No hydrostatic head figure is given, so you cannot compare its rain resistance directly with the PORTAL or the Maypole.
The listing does not explain how the roof moves, whether by cords or by hand along rails.
Assembly and what is missing
Assembly is required, and with a 53.5 kg iron frame it is a two person job. The listing does not describe fixings, ground anchors or whether it can be bolted down. On a patio you will want to work out how to secure it before it goes up.
Side walls are not listed. If you want wind protection, you would need to add curtains or screens separately. The listing also gives no warranty terms.
Against the Lay-Z-Spa dome and the Alvantor
The Lay-Z-Spa Gazebo Dome is lighter, packs away and has four doors, which makes it better for winter. The Alvantor Bubble Tent is larger and clear but should not be left up in storms. The Gecheer is the only option here that is designed to stand in one place, with a roof you can open and close.
Verdict
The Gecheer 4 x 3 m gazebo is for owners who want a semi-permanent structure over a tub that stays in one spot, and who like the option of opening the roof. If you need walls for winter or want to pack the shelter away, choose the Lay-Z-Spa Gazebo Dome. For a quick roof you can move around, the Maypole inflatable gazebo is easier.
